Here's a thread listing all of my published stories. I've noted the ones that are available to read for free, but please consider supporting these (across the board excellent) magazines, anthologies, etc. And thank you for reading! Here we go...

Happy Monday (if you're into that sort of thing). Start it off right with some short fiction. "Tongue-Tied" by Shelley Lavigne is FREE to read on the CHM website.

“Hopeless and crushing, absolutely perfect” nicely separates horror genre devotees from dilettantes.

I’ll sheepishly admit that I just watched this one for the first time. I’m forgiving a few (really distracting) editing flubs because of the awesomely bleak ending that slams shut plot holes like the lid of a coffin.

It’s almost always the author telling you “here’s where I’m gonna do some weird shit.”

What people don’t understand about gutting disability rights is that even if you think it doesn’t affect you today it can one day.

Today, it’s Special Education.

Tomorrow, it’ll be the Americans with Disabilities Act.

1 in 4 people 20 years old today will become disabled before they retire.

Last year I decided that I needed to draw Biollante more often.
A few minutes later, this is a start, at least!

They have fired the staff of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and 70 Epidemic Intelligence Service officers, who are disease detectives that respond to outbreaks around the world.

I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to dismantle our disease surveillance infrastructure.

ICYMI, we're open to submissions by authors of historically marginalized backgrounds for this entire month!

We want to read more works by Black writers, Indigenous writers, disabled writers, gay and lesbian and trans writers, and other folks whose voices must be heard!

🚨THIS IS A BIG DEAL. Chicago journalists are suing the Trump administration for using excessive force against reporters & protestors in violation of the 1A.
The press here is doing astounding work documenting how ICE is out of control. The violence they face in doing so is obscene.
The protests at the Broadview ICE facility and the federal government’s violent
attempts to silence the protesters became a story of great interest to the local Chicago media and
was also covered in the national press. Much of the coverage described the federal officers’
abusive tactics. Defendants sought and are seeking to quash this coverage by attacking and
intimidating members of the Press on the ground there.
85. Federal immigration officers at the Broadview ICE facility have repeatedly and
intentionally singled out persons whom they know to be members of the Press for violence,
assault, and intimidation. These assaults are not incidental or unintentional. They are undertaken
by design to intimidate journalists on scene and to frustrate and suppress coverage of the federal
officers’ actions toward protesters and immigration detainees

Treasure, Amanda Mitzel, Stacie Turner, Rachel Gutin, Casey Aimer, and Karl G. Dandenell. Editors are Stephen Granade and Cislyn Smith.

We need to stop viewing our age as exceptional. People (including scientists) have been passionately wrong about the natural world for at least the history of the western world. As long as inquiry persists error gets corrected. What we need to advocate is continuing inquiry with minimum quackery.
