I found a style I like for the curse cards in my game!
And it's not even insanely time-intensive :D
This one's the card for "agression", roughly modeled after my chonky cat being threatening, haha^^
I think this'll look good on a card, and I can keep that style up :)

A rough black ink splotch, in the shape of a cat doing a... Katzenbuckel (cat back/hump) but without the legs. The only real features it has are two white slits for the eyes and two pointy ears.

When calibrating a game so I can "barely see" an logo I always wonder what does barely see or barely visible mean in this particular game? I am never 100% sure.

The way Gears 5 handles these settings using representative images and text examples is much clearer UX to deal with

The HDR calibration in Gears 5 It is split into Shadows with a shadowy image and the description "Be careful not to lose details in the darker areas of the image such as shadows" Then Surfaces with a forest scene and the text "Surfaces that don't emit light should have clear details and not appear overly bright. Pay attention to the overall brightness of the image" Finally Highlights and Light sources with a glowing sky and the text "Ensure details on the bright areas of the image are visible. Pay attention to the details in the clouds and sun" Then below are three sliders for Contrast, Brightness, and HDR Brightness

Killing two birds with... four missiles? #gamedev
Ostranauts NAV screen, a blue control panel with buttons, knobs, sliders, LEDs, and screen readouts. In the center of the panel is a large black map with blue, dotted grid lines. Our ship, a blue triangle named "Terrible Tattoo" is firing 4 missiles at two, white triangle, enemy ships at the top of the map: the "Yellow Opera" and "Debatable Merit."
