I think its more to highlight the "tch" sound, because a "ch" sound on its own can be softer and not as sharp. Just a different way of romanizing it I think.

matrix is seemingly the frontrunner for that as its focused on end-to-end encryption, is free-libre open source, and is built around being decentralized/allowing for self-hosting. however its not really feature complete and it's imo not a "drop-in" replacement for discord (it was never meant to be)

FAMU can't use the word Black on anything posted around campus related to Black History Month, to stay in compliance with Florida state laws against DEI. Black students can't use the word Black at their Historically Black College during Black History Month.
