WG is a forum where you can discuss at length tv, movies, books, new releases, metatextual topics, post and discuss art, post tutorials etc, read up in threads, which will not just vanish but stick around for a bit. try it!

Fun story about this piece. It originally only had the woman in it. My partner was complaining (jokingly) that I'm drawing too many good looking women, and need to balancing things out a bit, so that's why the the hunk in the banana hammock is there with her!

Yes, they are a thing! I use newsblur for them. My website spits out an updated feed when I upload too.

It's great for keeping track of artists or webcomics that post one a century.

For anyone who needs to hear it, the advice to "always do your best" does not necessarily mean "always be the best."

Our "best" can change from day to day. Every day is different.

Doing your best just means being kind with yourself—knowing what you want and having the courage to go after it.

As you are rendering, you're flipping back-and-forth in some color space. I'm assuming it is it better judge the value, but could explain what you are toggling there? It wasn't really an inversion, but it wasn't grayscale either...

I'm wondering if doing #inktober2025 as a 31 day character design challenge would be good?

What kind of exercises helped you get better at simple character design?

Write a story/scene/scenario with your character that's not related to your plot. Then they are relieved of the burden of the plot and you can focus on who they are as a person.

I've got my world built to a point I'm comfortable starting a first draft.

I've got my small cast of characters likewise ready.

But! My main character lacks depth. I suspect it's because she has also to carry the plot, and that's taking over, but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Any advice?

A comic strip in four panels:

Panel 1. A bird's-eye view of the top of the Amphora of Great Intelligence, a wizard in yellow colors is on the stack of books from the content of the amphora. He yell at a crowd of wizard at the bottom of the Amphora, a crowd of red wizard. Some other wizard in red evacuate some grimoires, their arms are full of books. On the top, you can see an onion (for The Onion) and a cover that looks like the Reddit mascot:
> Wizard in yellow: Alright, I've cleared out a few grimoires to tweak it, we should get better results now!
