Exactly: THe stories on what didn't get done bc Noem required her personal signature (in additional to call centers, the rescue teams) aren't stating clearly that one reason Noem is doing this is bc she's $1B over budget bc she has blown it all on kidnapping grannies.
Further context: If you’ve never dealt with FEMA after a disaster I can tell you they answer within 30 seconds. No hold times. Real live wonderful people who help while you cry and can’t even figure out what questions to ask. They walk you through it all. Every call.

I mean, the numbers speak for themselves, right? If the rest of the country wants to look like an ideological reactionary backwater, kids AND education will suffer. 🤷 There's not much else to it. This kind of thing is a recipe for stagnation and suffering, always has been.

Real cops do not hide behind masks. Real cops identify themselves because they are proud of their work, not embarrassed by it.
There’s no way to tell the difference between an ICE agent and a criminal when they wear masks, show no badge, won’t identify themselves—then beat, detain, and disappear you. That’s not law enforcement. That’s state-sanctioned abduction.
