I’ve been hoping for this forever and ever.
I live for the day when a person avoids answering journalist #1’s question, journalist #2 has enough pride in their industry to ask the same question. This keeps going until the question is answered. Journalists need to get back the respect of the people. Getting answers is a good place to start.

This is a long one, but please read the whole thing. There is a huge misunderstanding when it comes to bills, and it is making it incredibly hard for people to not feel doomed. Hopefully this explanation helps you take the really big deep breath you desperately need.

It’s interesting that 2nd Amendment people think the Trump dictatorship will protect their gun rights after it dismantles the rest of the Bill of Rights.

Yes, it is a witch hunt for people who willingly associate with pedophiles and child sex traffickers. Great point, Noah.

it keeps going back and forth between being infuriating and funny how much we study this when the answer is always the same and it never matters
My god do we need UBI

“Researchers have found that when a new plasma center opens in a neighborhood, foot traffic at local grocery stores increases, interest in payday loans declines and crime goes down, an indication of the way money from plasma props up households’ finances for necessities.“
Middle-class Americans are selling their plasma to make ends meet
Last year, people in the U.S. made an estimated $4.7 billion selling their plasma. Donation centers are popping up in middle-class neighborhoods, including suburban strip malls and college towns.

Good for her that she withdrew. Probably AI that wrote the article slagging her.
A conscientious journalism grad withdraw from a job when she learned the Cleveland Plain Dealer uses AI to write its stories.

Now the editor is castigating her and journalism professors for not being “prepared for the workforce.”

You can’t make this shit up.

All I see on my Twitter timeline are reporters parsing every quote from AOC in Germany, trying to mock them for incoherence or inaccuracy, while a demented old man who can’t string sentences together or stay awake sits in the Oval, while the legacy media happily sanewashes his quotes.

Ossoff: "Among today's false prophets are the election deniers who indulge this president's obsession with overturning the 2020 election. Hear me when I say this -- they tell a lie so absurd, and therefore so debasing, that the act of telling it proves the teller's total and humiliating submission."

They really are terrified of us. As they should be.
If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen

Broadly speaking: reality tv is bad for democracy, influencers are bad for democracy, streamers are bad for democracy, YouTubers are bad for democracy.

Exceptions to all categories exist, but it’s astonishing how absolutely clogged our political and media ecosystems are with low-info narcissists

please do not put screengrabs or explicit descriptions of rape and sexual assault in your posts.

Link to them so that people can decide whether to read them.

No.
It simply reminds the world what a pathetic, insecure loser we put in power. And it's humiliating.
