absolutely incredible -- CNN host introduces a segment about Trump's "new healthcare proposal," but less than two minutes later breaks into her script to announce "breaking news" that Trump's healthcare proposal is being postponed

Gotta say, it sucks for DC, a great theater town, that the first string theater critic not only doesn’t live in the city, but barely ever covers local theater.

There are two kinds of people in this world, those who love the Bug episode of Breaking Bad and those that don’t, and unfortunately Vince Gilligan is in the former camp.

The thing Justin Chang’s review of Wicked 2 really nails is the feeling that you’re watching an extended act of vandalism and aggression towards the original film. Like it’s got some Oedipal relationship to the original and it wants to ruin it for you.

I’m excited to see “Practice” and mean this as no knock on the show but it is extremely funny to see people on here and in the press treat a cliche (the head of an artistic practice as brutal, manipulative, cult leader) as somehow groundbreaking

well, I read it, and the salient, non-gross part is Lizza alleging, midsentence and without elaboration, that Nuzzi ran numerous “catch-and-kill operations” on RFK’s behalf, which would give her a role in both his appointment and the untold preventable deaths he has abetted in office. Cool.

A reporter asks if Mamdani stands by calling Trump a fascist. Mamdani starts to give a delicate answer.

Trump (smiles, pats Mamdani's arm): "That's OK, you can just say yes. It's easier. I don't mind."

THREAD: Judge Ellis is the first federal judge to review extensive body cam video of DHS's actions in Chicago. She finds that DHS *repeatedly* misled the public and made claims that were disproven by agents' own videos.

I'll go through some of the most egregious ones here.

•There will never be a Palestinian state, even if this means no normalization with Saudi Arabia

•Israel won't leave the occupied Syrian territories

•Israel would like a deal with Turkey but is prepared to treat it like Iran

I continue to find the maybe happy ending casting controversy to be kinda odd. The roles are robots, nothing in the show indicates that robots have a racial identity, and the fill in for Criss was almost certainly chosen because he’s the lead actress’s boyfriend.

To this day I'm still chastised by people when I say that the leadership of both parties are opposed to partition. This is just true. I frankly do not understand the reticence to accept this reality. One party says they support in words but oppose in action and other has united words and action.
Every single self styled Zionist political party opposes partition, the vast majority of the Jewish public oppose partition, and both leaderships of the two major parties in the United States oppose partition. It is a fair question as to what exactly is to be done in the face of this.
62% of Israelis, and 73%(!) of Jewish Israelis, said they'd oppose Palestinian statehood, even if it's coupled with normalization with Saudi Arabia.
The Israeli public (not just government) and the rest of the world seem to be moving in 2 very opposite directions. www.jpost.com/israel-news/...

Oh, I don’t know. Our rivers no longer catch on fire and our air is far less poisonous than it used to be, even in smog bowls like Los Angeles. And I think those are good things.
If there’s no shale gas then there’s no shale gas, but I still think environmentalism is basically bad and politicians should focus more on material prosperity.
