AOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.

Tried a new thing this week. Making my own yarn on a drop spindle. I can’t wait to get to the part where my yarn is consistently the same size. 😂

Swept up the pine cone debris the squirrels left under the pine tree to use as mulch in our beds. Not sure if this is a thing but seems like it would work to suppress weeks and hold moisture.

My dream for our country is that we will convict lawless political leaders, even presidents for crimes they commit. If other countries can do it we must do it.
“Did you believe you had sufficient evidence to obtain and sustain a conviction against Donald Trump for interference with the lawful transfer of power?”

JACK SMITH: “Yes.”

Pet peeve: I send an email to a work colleague to request something and they immediately call me. I’m not alone in thinking that’s nonsense, right?

One of the unacknowledged advantages of this awful era is that it's revealing for all to see the putrid connections between great wealth and great power.

The intentions of the oligarchs are fully exposed and more blatant than ever.

But remember: We outnumber the oligarchs.

Refusal is the way. Just say NO.

If the Epstein files have proven anything, it’s that the justice system isn’t broken; it’s working exactly as it was built to do: to shield the rich and powerful from accountability while victims are buried, ignored, or silenced.

I finally did it. I watched the first Avatar movie for the first time. Only 15 years after it’s premiere.
Really up on the trends.

Republicans control the House, Senate, and White House. If they wanted to lower your health care costs, they would.

The truth is: Republicans do not care one bit if your health care premiums explode.

I’m a 100% Remote employee who had to go in and work in the office today (due to home renovations) and it cost me $50 for lunch, parking and a coffee. I was roasting hot, the lights made my eyes tired and the desk setup was super uncomfortable. The benefits of working from home cannot be overstated.

even among really smart folks, i think ppl have greatly underestimated just how much resources the ultra-wealthy have put into culture war bullshit to get us to fight each other instead of them

Billionaires and powerful men are truly miserable. I won’t be convinced otherwise.
How is Trump getting away with putting those insulting plaques up underneath previous presidents? He’s sure got a bug up his ass about Biden. The hate is unreal. So much hate in the guy in general.

the recruitment effort comes just 2 days after Bernie Sanders called for a moratorium on data center construction

In yoga class this week my instructor was pulling up a playlist on her phone to play during class and was fumbling a little. She said “I’m still getting used to this new app since I cancelled Spotify.” 👀

Love finding fellow boycotters IRL.

Canceling Spotify is a pretty easy way to fight back against dark forces.
Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?
