Millie Bobby Brown runs a rescue centre 🐶
The joy of having someone in an election that you actually want to vote for. Last week it was Catherine Connolly, but I also have a vote in the UK and the excitement about Polanski is palpable.
It's strange seeing the centre and the right mocking anyone getting excited about the Green Party. Maybe their ceiling IS 17%. Maybe it's a flash-in-the-pan thing. But we are allowed to get excited about feeling represented on the left after almost six years of being told "you're done, stfu".

Right to Roam campaigners call for access to all England’s rivers

Our local groups are organising 9 river trespasses in November to highlight how inadequate & unworkable the government’s pledge of a mere 9 river walks is:

I snuck down when my parents had a party and helped myself to a box of Ritz crackers, and that night had earache. Still get a twinge if I even think about them too closely...

Stack for today's class on literary journals
As someone who grew up in the 1970s and wasn't ever taught that it was okay to say no even if that wasn't polite, I'm always so happy that my kids' generation know to say fuck right off, fella.
The whole war was created so that Trump could 'stop' it and get a Nobel Prize, wasn't it?
2. “…Bibi would call me so many times—“Can you get me this weapon? That weapon? That weapon?” Some of them I never even heard of. But we’d get them there, wouldn’t we? And they are the best. They are the best…and you obviously used them very well.”
Create a war, so that you can cosplay peacemaker. The news coverage has been nauseating.
'I got to make jokes about women drivers'. Were there any women in the audience to relish these top moments of comedy? Or was it all blokes being pleased with themselves?
It doesn't matter what legislation they pass, or what companies have to print on their packaging. We're still all going to say veggie burgers, oat milk, vegan cheese. Etc etc.

The Gender Critical have already inundated this survey with their disgusting views on banning trans people from using the ponds.

Would be a shame if we inundated with trans positive views on not banning trans people.

Horlicks for the odd thrill-seeking moment.
To JKR and all her minions: stop with the terf-splaining. You don't speak for all women, and you definitely don't speak for me. It's not ignorance, it's having an opinion. You're like a multi-headed manifestation of the rancid uncle at Christmas who won't shut up. And about as convincing.
I do like to think about how surprised the evangelicals will be when the rapture happens and god doesn't want them. All of them in a smug clump waiting for their pat on the head and wondering where everyone else has gone.

The problem is that it is hard to see where you can add yet another arse to Farage, he is all arsehole.
This fully resonates...
I'm a problem solver, it's a strength. A weakness is that I tend to cause the problems in the first place.

Anyway I'm at Preston because I missed my direct train to Edinburgh
Thank god for Gary Lineker...

I can’t quite put it into words yet, but something is happening, a kind of global singularity—a fusion of tech/media/news/government/employment which allows the global elite to push single agendas: “You WILL care about Charlie Kirk. You will NOT care about Palestine. You WILL fear cancel culture.”
Think we are up to 8 bbc news alerts about charlie kirk.
So Raynor is sacked for a minor lapse of judgement but Mandelson gets support from the top? Ffs.
The calling out needs to be a bit more emphatic, really. There seems to be a whole lot of 'Christians' actively supporting the current regime, and very few actively Christian voices opposing their manifestly unchristian agenda.
So good when a plan falls into place!! 🎉
