New followers welcome! Here’s what I’ve been up to. My 1st novella, I Can See Your Lies, is a supernatural thriller that’s also part Hollywood cold case and righteous female rage. It’s signed on Dark Matter Ink’s site & indie stores can order, Amazon & B&N online. 1/2

This movie absolutely fucking rules. It’s directed and shot so well and it’s metal AF. 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻 Honestly, the best of the bunch in that world. Nia DaCosta continues to knock it out of the park.

I love the new mayor of Gotham
“When I speak about making our city more affordable, my vision is not limited to the homes that we live in or the child care that we’re making universal — it’s also a vision where we make it possible for working people to afford lives of joy, of art, of rest, of expression.”

Try to be positive in 2026!

Instead of waking up and asking "Is he dead yet?" wake up with a smile on your face knowing, either way, we're all one day closer.

Fantastic film.
Hammer Films released a bank heist film, CASH ON DEMAND, in 1961, starring Peter Cushing as a bank manager lured into the scheme after being told his family is being held hostage.

It’s good and it’s showing on TCM’s #NoirAlley at midnight EST tonight and 10am Sunday.

Worth it.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

Alex Proyas' Dark City - Director's Cut (1998) is neglected outside a small cut following. It rivals The Matrix (1999) in theming, cinematography, set design and acting. The original version is quite good, but was marred in the first two minutes by unnecessary narration due to studio interference

And the cinematography?? So claustrophobic and gorgeous, shadows closing in on many beleaguered characters. Definitely influenced by German Expressionism. 🔥🔥🔥 In love with this film. Plus, the Hermann score?! It punches you right in the soul with menace from the start, immediately setting the tone.
Rewatched the OG Cape Fear & WOW — the sustained tension alone makes it visceral as Hell. Feels like menacing theatre. No way audiences were ready for such confrontational filmmaking such as this — which is exactly why the craft on display wasn’t recognized. This film should have given Oscars.
