Just finished the audiobook of “The Lies of Locke Lamora” by Scott Lynch. A great story, and Michael Page’s narration is excellent. The epilogue is immensely satisfying. Highly recommend if you enjoy clever, character-driven fantasy — doubly so if you enjoy a good heist.

I spent the week carving a Halloween story that refused to come alive — rewrite, nope, repeat. By midnight it was still a monstrosity. No story yesterday but I’m set for next year.

There's nothing spookier at Halloween than to sit around the fire with a group of good friends and tell each other ghost stories. Especially when you remember you haven't got a fire, or any friends.
