I came away from this article as a Roger Douglas fan. Thinking about taxes, social security, he's got some good points. When it comes to taxes, it doesn't make sense for the next generation to pay for today's retirement. Especially when we have an aging population

Hey, so it turns out that paper on black plastic was a bit blown out of proportion by a simple math error.

Aucklanders: What's your monthly water bill?

Last year we were paying $30 a month. We've moved into a bigger (albeit brand new apartment) and now we're paying at least $80.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There will be no comprehensive free trade agreement with India. Any India watcher knows that. Seems the government knows now too. Let the walk back begin. #nzpol

Ideally neither of these trucks will hit you. But it's kind of important. One will maim you, one will kill you. Choose wisely.
Trucks have been getting bigger, more energy & space consuming, more polluting, and much deadlier to everyone around them including kids. Not because most of us actually need bigger vehicles, but as ego boosts, status symbols & “indicators of male virility.” Note the truck bed is basically the same.
