I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Basma. Basma was a makeup artist and did eyelash extensions before the war. She lost her home and the tower she worked in was recently destroyed. She has 4 children Tulin, 9, Malak, 7, Kamal, 5 and baby Maryam who is just 9 months old.

It's worse each year, since 2019, that 1st bout of severe psychosis. But I had Nym with me. She was my sentry; if she didn't respond to what I heard or saw, it was easier to reassure myself of what might be true. But she's gone now. How will I test the waters of Reality without her guiding me?

It's mid-October. It's dark after breakfast & dark before dinner. I find myself outside of time, motionless in the middle of rooms, watching shadows scurry in the corners like animals, talking to people who don't exist.
