"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.
www.politico.com/news/2025/10...
In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

As for our current house specifically, I can easily walk to a very good used bookstore, a local farmers market, a bunch of tasty restaurants, a 24/7 adoration chapel, and the library.

But I’m also a three-minute walk from Rock Creek Park, with like 40 miles of wooded dirt and paved trails.

(1) The international diversity. I can get food from any country and my friends and my kids’ friends are from so many different places and cultures. 3 or 4 of the US’s most diverse cities are in my county.

(2) 19 world-class museums and a zoo, all for free.

(3) The Chesapeake Bay

Weird that there’s no video of all these protestors attacking ICE with rocks and bottles and shooting at them with fireworks. You would think DHS and its teams of videographers would have captured some of that terrible violence against ICE officers.

A lot going on here, but a religion note: DHS Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin refers to Rev. Black as a "pastor" here — using quotation marks.

It's a notable slight against a faith leader's status, as Black is, in fact, an ordained minister of a church operating within the Presbytery of Chicago.
This footage is from almost a month ago. What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations.

Over and over again, law enforcement ordered these agitators to move off of federal property so the vehicle could move. Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply.

Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles and launching fireworks at the law enforcement officers on the roof.

At the time of this incident, this facility held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. If you are obstructing law enforcement you can expect to be met with force.

And, as an aside, this is the same “pastor” who flipped

Is there one (1) White House press reporter who can just pull out their phone and show Trump a live feed of Portland?

Trump: "I don't know what could be worse than Portland. You don't even have stores anymore. They don't even put glass up. They put plywood on their windows."

Insanely tone-deaf after coming out of sex abuse-related bankruptcy proceedings.

“We gave the abuse victims $20 million, so it’s fine if Bishop Barron just takes a little ol’ $10 mil or so for a fancy new house and office.”

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

Part of growth is accepting that all the cool shit is behind you, and that your current responsibilities are painful, tedious and not at all exciting.

Is it more fun to cosplay soldier than to have a meeting on financial savings programs for junior enlisted or something? Sure. But it helps nobody.

This South Side Weekly report on the Chicago building raid is well worth reading. Most striking to me are the indications of collusion between federal authorities and the building owner and management to effect a mass eviction at the blighted property. southsideweekly.com/federal-agen...
