Very proud to have been asked to work on this for John and David at Plumeria. It’s been a joy.

Prints are available in my store at the link below- a portion of each sale will be donated to the Samaritans to aid their pre Christmas campaign

Obama killed between 324 and 807 civilians in 540 drone strikes.

He carried out ten times more drone strikes than George W. Bush

1990-2015 called it a mistake.

He may have won it, but he didn’t deserve it.

Odd piece of mail to receive from the USA today.
“The enclosed check is the result of a settlement reached by President Trump's Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with Amazon Inc….”

Thanks for the cheque (!) Don, I guess.

I associate Lynch, specifically Lost Highway which I watched endlessly, with my substance assisted slide from sanity 25 years ago. He lives in the panic and shame filled memory boxes that I never want to open again.

Cuddly? He’s a fucking terrorist.

Another one tomorrow. I haven’t shaved for years, this is an affront to my schlubability.
I have an interview in the morning.

This next job is my final one, to pay for a studio, then I’m going to hunker down in there until I die
It’s a hard road getting your own thing off the ground, but life’s too short to work for other people

I think the debate about the USA’s slide toward fascism is over. It’s not coming, it has arrived, probably some time ago. The shining city on the hill is home to a murderous psychopath and his outriders.

Started in on Better Call Saul last week. We’re on series 2 now. I reckon it’s more enjoyable than Breaking Bad, which at times felt like a nihilistic endurance test watching Walter White gaslight his family and murder people. Deeply unpleasant. Jimmy is a hoot. I appreciate the lighter tone.

Why are we embarrassed about finding joy in childish things?

I spend my life trying to return to a childish state where I create with an instinctive drive without the baggage of adulthood. There is purity in play. It’s a perfect state of being, and the world would be better if we all gave that a go

Why is the pearl clutching ConLab MP’s first reaction always to ban, rather than to understand the root of issues? They default to the authoritarian.
They’ve already broken the internet in the UK, but if I want it restricted I’ll move to Iran.

I find most late 20thC and post-millennial abstract art worthless, low effort and utterly devoid of cathartic emphasis. Sean Scully is different, but he still can’t move me in the way that, say, Rothko can. He makes me feel like I’m communing with God himself.

“Bowie taught me that when they demanded your identity papers, you didn’t have to comply”

This is a beautiful articulation of that thing about Bowie that many millions of us feel, but- like me- are perhaps unable to adequately say.

Buying my first Bowie record unlocked every door.
His confirmation of the existence of a world beyond the strangling parochialism of the small town, of narrow minds, where you could be who you were without apology and be anything was powerful juice.
That message remains, even if he doesn’t.
