If you need a nap and a nap alibi, schedule a meeting with me.

It will be in your calendar as a regular meeting, and you just go have a little recharge in your car or your bed.

If anyone asks, we talked about security roadmaps and professional development.

A friend of mine sent me this and first reaction was, “I really need that shirt and suspenders combo.”

And then I read the caption.

Oh. Yup, accurate.

Anyone else getting a crazy sore throat but it’s not strep? Feverish but not a full blown fever?

I also asked my husband “which one of our pets would be a Juggalo?”

Unfazed, he said, ”Phoebe.”

(She’s our 5.5 lb, 7.5 month old grey tabby cat, pure cuteness and chaos.)

This Disco Skeleton was $139.99 CAD this Halloween. I went to 3 different Michael’s stores to find it after Halloween because I didn’t want to pay full price.

I succeeded this weekend. It was $49.99 after 70% off.

You know it’s late when you Google: “would Harley Quinn be a Juggalo?”

Take a lesson from the Black Panthers who understood how to feed people
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

I’m awake with body aches and the hot-colds. Historically, with Moderna, it’s been a lot worse.

The H1 helps; let’s see if it reduces the duration as well as the intensity.
I chased my COVID and Flu vaccine with 10 mg of cetirizine and orange Gatorade.

I hope that’s enough to be able to sleep through the worst of it.

On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

I have to get an endoscopy soon, and I'm oddly looking forward to it because it's a really solid nap.

Do you remember Janelle Monae’s clock monocle outfit?

Girl says she’s already time traveled.

I bet she did in this outfit too!
When I finally time travel, I want to be wearing this outfit.

hey frequent travelers, is there any particular hotel chain that smells soothing to you?

It used to be Westin for me. Now that I’m staying at Hyatt more often, the Hyatt scent has moved to the top spot.

This is correct. It’s VCs who spend their time doing drugs and inventing weird religions, executives who have boners about firing workers, and non-technical hucksters who are pushing this stuff. The vast majority of people doing actual technical work on the ground feel the way this piece describes
Okay, for the folks who asked: here's the majority AI view, writing up the reasonable, thoughtful view on AI that the vast majority of people in tech hold, that gets overshadowed by the bluster and hype of the tycoons trying to shill their nonsense. anildash.com/2025/10/17/t... Please share!

I wore a Black Lives Matter shirt to a conference today and after talking about gender representation, someone came up to me to thank me for wearing the shirt and bringing my perspective.

Just because a movement is out of the news doesn’t mean we should stop advocating for change in our spaces.
