Have a safe and Happy Hallowe'en, everybody! (Music by Dan Policar dantheband.bandcamp.com). ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป Note: it doesn't get THIS dark in The Crimson Diamond -- Pun intended! ๐Ÿ‘น
Except that most linux issues come from the interaction between softwares, and since there is much variety, it's not hard to run a combo of core packages and versions that literally no one else runs. So even reading the source code won't help you much.

This is why Linux is not my daily driver OS.
I'd buy the shit outta that middle school bake sale!

Will this be forever behind patreon, or will you post it free somewhere later?
Lol. Well it's better than back in the day, where they would rather focus on the "why" and totally ignored the "how" and if you got frustrated by this, then you just were not worth the time anymore.
I don't agree that same is true of Windows, not the core components at any rate, but you do a have a solid point about paid support.

This is subjective, but I can solve 90% of my Windows issues with a google search and find an answer in the first few links. This is absolutely not true for Linux.
To add more details to this. As a Windows user, when I am evaluating if a solution applies to me or not, all I really need to know is my Windows version, is it 10 or 11. But for Linux, I need to know: the version of the OS; the distro; the window manager; the window manager version and on and on.
Oh yeah, the Linux community has come a long way when it comes to inclusivity, but they are far from perfect in this regard, there is still an undertow of elitism in forums or other places.
Well, I'd argue that functionally they really cannot reach MS or Apple for support, but if they google their problem, chances are someone out there has a solution that is directly applicable. This is true mostly because Windows/MacOS comes in essentially 1 flavor, whereas Linux comes in several.
When you delve into the general purpose computing arena, this is where it all falls apart, and Linux's market share plummets significantly, with people preferring Windows or MacOS in significant numbers. For most "normies" Windows or MacOS just works, without the need to really understand how or why
If you look at all the places where Linux has truly become ubiquitous they are generally in use cases where the front end UI has been stripped down to just a few buttons, or the distro has to do just a few things, but has to do them well and reliably.
I also cannot agree more with this. The ability to empathize with a "normie" end user is actually a talent quite a few designers and programmers lack and they simply never consider the "one button" approach. This is not a bad thing necessarily, but it definitely hinders wide spread adoption.
"...which paintings were seized from Leonardo DiCaprio by the US government."

Yeah, I am definitely gonna need a source on this one. Not because I don't believe you or anything like that, just that I want to know more..
Charged for what exactly?

You are officially in their crosshairs. Must feel pretty great to know you're getting under their skin.
The angriest I have ever seen my boss was just the other day when he was trying to work out how to print on both sides of the page from his Macbook. I don't think he ever worked it out.

Ooh, I can't wait to see the final product.
We need more of this from our local leaders. I see various states passing anti-ICE legislation, but it's all just lip service as the local LEOs just won't support it, instead they either stand around or actively assist ICE.

This is my number one critique of Newsom right now.
Interesting, but speak to me when I can have scrabbled pentium for breakfast. That'll be the real breakthrough...
I kind of want to order one just to put on display. They look pretty cool.
I need to get a copy of that game and play it. I mostly just remember him threatening to bite my ankles :D
Character 1 once said: "Yeah, when I think of Maureen I think of two things: asphalt... and trouble."

And of course I have to have Murray.
