I'm Jason, and it only gets worse from there
Using AI to write your code is stupid. I get way more value out of AI code review tools than I do out of AI code generation tools.

A “data-driven engineering culture” is ultimately doomed: critical thought and inspiration take backseats to the safety of ‘data’ as it is practiced internally. Org becomes myopic in vision and microscopic in scale as the world becomes entirely framed in their observability tools and methodologies.

Apple Computer Incorporated is run by cowards unless they name their next Desktop OS macOS Bakersfield. They should have done it this time instead of ‘Tahoe,’ then everyone would be all “the UI is worse but it IS Bakersfield so it makes sense.”

Am I voting for Zohran? Lord no.

I live in Alameda County, California. He’s not on any local ballot.

It’s Día de Los Muertos, not Día de los Morbos so stop telling everyone it’s Morbin’ time. That’s April 1, 2022.

I guess my new motivator in my 40s is to not be uncomfortable.

Like at work, a huge part of the initiatives I take are sparked by being caught unable to answer a question with an immediate, easy solution and I spend _weeks_ working on ways to get to where I don't feel that again in that situation.

Sounds to me like "I use a gas-powered chainsaw to slice my bread"

Like...I guess it works, but are you sure there are no safer and less environmentally damaging tools to do that?

This is probably the thing that has made me most irrationally happiest in months and I’m almost tempted to pay for LinkedIn to see who it was.

My least favorite bus drivers are the ones who constantly scream at me if I look kinda drowsy just because a previous time they were my driver I fell asleep and they didn’t realize I was still on the bus and they made it halfway back to the depot and had to go back and let me off at the route’s end

Douglas Crockford did JS such a solid by being a great orator and writer. The JavaScript that he presented in his narratives and the JavaScript we used in reality had were so qualitatively different that we made the JS ecosystem better just to minimize the cognitive dissonance.

I've put over 250 hours into Slay the Spire. I feel fully justified in using a save editor to knock off the last couple of achievements I have left. I paid for the game. The game does not own me. I am now free for StS 2 in April.

Rum and Coke is tired. Try a Bacardi and Baja: it’s half a pint of 151, a splash of Baja Blast, and the bartender sets a reminder on their phone to call the police scheduled for 45 minutes out.

The nation’s democracy, after a quarter of a millennium of prosperity, finally succumbs to corruption and decay at the hands of a crime family. Gross.

But the TRUMP family? We really couldn’t have picked a better one?

You ever poop in a Waymo? That’s the thing that finally got me convinced that they were a net positive for the world.

The most upsetting part of the Katie Porter ‘scandal’ is my reaction to it all was “this is exactly how I would behave in that situation too,” which apparently makes me a monster? Glad to know I’m unfit for public office before I try to run.

As of this trash day cycle, there are now three (3) competing families going through everyone’s recycling the night before in our neighborhood and is this a recession indicator?

“The Tahoe UI is inconsis-…”

My dogg in earlier versions of MacOS various applications were made of wood and metal and hand-stitched leather for no discernible reason. The maximize button did whatever the fuck it wanted. iTunes made its signal buttons vertical if the window was small enough.
