for things that are a significant part of your COGS: go as low to the metal as you can.

for everything else: don't. you'll save time and energy rather than re-inventing abstractions.
There's also a pure economic argument here against being a renter of a renter

The more valuable you think your company is, the less you should want to do that. It's a tool for quickly building marginal businesses, not lasting economic value

Build Tasks for Network Devices Faster with Code Assistance and Puppet Edge | Puppet
Whether you are an all-in vibe coder or AI skeptic, you probably know that most software developers are now incorporating AI into their day-to-day process.

I feel like 20% slower is probably situation-specific. But the real kicker of this study is that they only sampled 16 developers. These findings are strong enough that they should be expanded to get more devs so that it can really have some teeth behind it. Nobody will stop AI funding with 16 devs.

yes, it's always DNS
AWS says "the underlying DNS issue" is mitigated and most "operations are succeeding normally" after a huge US-EAST-1 outage; some services are still "impacted" (Jess Weatherbed/The Verge)

Scenarios in here:
1. Create a user on a device
2. Manage and Enable NTP servers
3. Configure a VLAN!

Any other scenarios I should dive into?

Alt: Ted Lasso is a man with a mustache and says "how bout that". Because Ted knows that network automation with Puppet Edge is pretty nifty!
