I feel like “clout chasing” is the contemporary version of calling someone a “sell out” in the 90s
i feel like people don't know what clout chasing actually is anymore. a clout chaser is someone desperate for external validation who aggressively leverages connections, trends, and/or controversy in an attempt at garnering popularity, but people call anyone more popular than them a clout chaser.

My semi-annual gripe that:
1) I resent that there is no meaningful social connectivity in Netflix or Spotify
2) It's a crime how much value is trapped in the Kindle/Goodreads ecosystem. What I would spend to follow highlights from friends/heroes...

"Not much change. We allow candidates to use LLMs, but there's no difference in takehome completion, or onsite interviews. Our rejection rate remains 90%+."

This is really interesting, I've never heard of Gombe Chimpanzee War and how human (?) it all feels. From older chimpanzees having apprentices to tribal wars, and how these wars have generational effects that changed the landscape.

This is really interesting, I've never heard of Gombe Chimpanzee War and how human (?) it all feels. From older chimpanzees having apprentices to tribal wars, and how these wars have generational effects that changed the landscape.
