It’s pretty fucked up from all angles. Kirk said despicable things. Anyone can say despicable things. The only punishment necessary is not being taken seriously.

Nobody should be shot or fired for expressing an opinion.

Kirk traded in cruelty and promoted bigotry. I condemn political violence. I feel for his kids, but I am unsure how I feel about this.

You do not owe anyone empathy.

I refuse to tell you or anything be else how to feel.

My kids were all over ten before I discussed 9-11-01. I was onboard the USS Tarawa at32nd St. San Diego doing electrical work. My husband floated into NY Harbor onboard the USS Howard -a precom DDG with one of the most experienced OS fire control ops in the fleet. Far from each other but not alone.
