When is the Republican Party going to stop covering for a greedy and cruel child rapist?
It’s painfully clear. By refusing to swear in Adelita Grijalva, Speaker Johnson’s covering up Jeffrey Epstein’s global sex-trafficking ring.

Hey GOP: Bring back the House, cancel your health care cuts, reopen the government and release the files.

It’s not subtle
So, to be clear:

*Federal employment, which built much of the Black middle class—attacked & slashed

*Cities with Black mayors—targeted

*Black neighborhoods/communities—invaded

*Affirmative action @ colleges—eliminated

*Black history—demonized, erased, & written over

They
are
re-
segregating.

Some inspiration for Bothell homeowners now that neighborhood scale retail is allowed (and encouraged) in Bothell!
Legalize neighborhood cafés and accessory commercial units of all shapes and sizes.

Yes I am unapologetically bragging about one of my cities again. Bothell is leading the way on creating a walkable, affordable and vibrant community.

Why a WA city is removing parking requirements and allowing corner stores
Bothell is about to get "more Bothell," the city's mayor said. The city says updating its municipal code will make living there more affordable and welcoming.

Bothell is already The Cat's Pajamas due to the work of its fearless and visionary City Council, but in like, 10ish years when stuff is built it's going to be really amazing. Since they moved 522, it's been cool to see it grow.
Hot Parking Reform Summer continues as the Bothell City Council holds a public hearing Tuesday night on the full repeal of minimum parking requirements, along with the legalization of neighborhood cafes and corner stores.

In Bothell, the two councilmembers who voted against a resolution explicitly spelling out the city's support for LGBTQIA+ people last month have both declined to file for re-election.
Last night Bothell City Council passed a resolution (5-2) to proactively protect the civil rights of trans and gender diverse people at a time when those rights are under attack. The community showed up in support too. The photo shows the reaction in the room when the vote was finalized.

Sometimes the only way through is to create public value in the face of trauma and pain.

I’m proud of the work North King County Cities have done in Washington (Bothell, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline & Kirkland) to build out the crisis continuum of care.

Never again is now.
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”

With a policy like this, 40-60% more housing can be built, so we can prioritize housing people over housing cars. Thanks Rep Duerr, the local gov committee and 64 house members for passing this bill!
Here is local government committee chair @davina425.bsky.social's floor speech on Washington's Parking Reform and Modernization Act, which passed the House by a 64-31 vote this afternoon.

A bunch of folks showed up to the Bothell City Council tonight to speak against a potential resolution affirming Bothell as a welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
