As usual, nothing from me on "world mental health day" - the annual tendency to remember we might need to "do something" (whatever that means) and "raise awareness" (whatever that means), might be why some spend 365 days a year wondering why little changes.

#Reading Rivers in the Sky, by Elif Shafak. It is such a disappointment and it is so bloody long. Rambling. Too much exposition. Coincidences too unbelievable. I think she was trying to do for water what Richard Powers did for trees. Makes me appreciate Richard Powers even more, if thats possible.

It's not bad. I live just outside at the top of the golden valley in herefordshire. I grew up in Leeds and a friend of mine started Lifespan if you know it, up on the moors btwn you and halifax I think.

Just had a flu shot at the GP & conversation about not being able to get the covid vax with disgruntled HC worker who also couldnt get one, who said, there will be a massive surge, and then there will be a panicked scramble to try and vaccinate, but will be too little, too late.
