This weekend, Councillor Chabot and I marked the 92nd anniversary of the Holodomor, honouring millions lost to a deliberate genocide and affirming that their truth endures. As Calgary’s first mayor of Ukrainian descent, this remembrance is personal. calgaryherald.com/news/local-n... #yyccc

Loved stopping by cSPACE's Fireworks Soirée. Great to have Shane Gauthier from the Aboriginal Friendship Centre and Joy Bowen-Eyre from The Alex Community Health Centre join me for a brief tour of the mayor's office during the council break! Grateful for their leadership and the work they do every day to strengthen community.

this is great! #mayorontrain

Also, great work on keeping those of us who go off script in line. Hope it doesn't go until 10 p.m again!

City Council Budget Week continues today. As we look at amending the budget for 2026, we had the opportunity yesterday to hear from Calgarians involved with the social services sector, youth sports groups, neighbours from many communities, small businesses, and more.

Joined our Roads team at the west-end snowplow depot for their 6 a.m. shift change. Deep appreciation to City crews working around the clock to keep our streets safe. As we continue our budget debate, I'll be pushing for better equipment for the frontline who show up when we need them most. #yyccc

Great to join Councillors Kelly and Atkinson at the Lions Festival of Lights kickoff. Volunteers (including City colleagues from IBEW #254) have powered this tradition for nearly 40 years. Let’s keep supporting the community builders who make Calgary shine; catch it nightly until Jan 8, 2026! #yyccc

I was grateful to take part in the 33rd annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign on Saturday, supporting families in need. Calgary Transit partnered with Calgary Co-op and the Calgary Food Bank, with buses parked at Co-op stores across the city for Calgarians to fill with donations. 1/2

It's budget week at Calgary City Council! My colleagues and I are working hard to reduce the tax increase for residents proposed by the previous Council and find more efficient ways to deliver the things we all rely on: infrastructure, public safety, and of course, services like snow clearing.

Let's stay safe on the roads this morning, #yyc! City crews are in full gear getting our roads clear. With the first big snow of the season, they're working as hard as they can to get to your neighbourhood. Take a look at where snowplows are currently working here: maps.calgary.ca/RoadConditio...

Great to join my friend Ken Lima-Coelho and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Calgary team at the 2025 Big Brunch! BBBS shows what mentorship can do for a young person and for our whole city. Grateful for the volunteers and donors who step up to lift the next generation. #yyccc

Saddened to hear of former Alderman Ray Clark’s passing. Many of us remember his impact: my very first civic memory is from meeting him at my East Calgary school. The City will honour his legacy in the coming days. Our thoughts are with his family. #yyccc

Calgary needs homes that people can afford. That's why I am so excited by what we're seeing downtown: millions of square feet of empty office spaces getting turned into the homes our city needs.

Grateful to attend yesterday's Economic Outlook event alongside our team of new City Council. I shared how fiscal discipline and strong public safety must guide us into this budget. With Calgary growing fast and confidence returning, there’s real reason to be optimistic about our city’s future.
