Second criticism not discussed about but for me (A spoiler to those who might read this) I think Act 3 the enemies become harder to see overall. I have no sight related issues but the final boss I legit struggled to even see half the time.

I totally understand my personal biases could be strong (I 100%'d the game & a big lore buff) As someone who's seen both of your HK streams I want to say your criticisms are very justified

As a major fan of the series I hope the harassment is just an early on problem & sorry you had to deal with it

My own feelings are iffy. I had a more positive take from the game but understand the divisive nature of this game being rather... Not well handled at times. I hope, like Hollow Knight, Team Cherry adds to & updates the game further to feel better & more accessible for more players to beat.

Text because there's too many words for Bluesky:
On one hand, it has so many fun, beautiful experiences that asks you to learn and dedicate yourself to its mechanics and lore. In spite of its difficulty it wants to reward the love one might put into it.

On the other hand, Bilewater. There's plenty of areas that lack convenience, the enemy design can be lowkey too rough and until close to Act 2 when you can buff your nail damage (Tool damage is usually good) you never feel like you're able to do anything because everyone just has too much HP.

Yes this is coming from someone who beat NK Grimm but damn this game even kicks my ass!
I don't know how a more casual fan for example could beat it. I want anyone of any skill level to play this game but I definitely agree its much more demanding and rough.

Its definitely much harder overall, but the biggest contribution to that outside of the more intelligent enemy design is just how little damage Hornet does early game.

Minor spoilers after the Hunter's area or skipping it for later the game is much better. Its better to backtrack much later on imo

Watching the DLC turned game turned delayed to now it was a lot to get to this point lmao
