After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

My refrain for 5-ish years now has been "it was a great year for movies unless you only watch Disney" and that's now true for essentially all forms of media. There's more cool stuff released each week than you can enjoy in a lifetime, and social media algorithms won't show you any of it.
It's really easy to fall into 'There's nothing good anymore' doomerism right now. That's just your depression talking. Take out the gremlin running your brain and beat it with sticks.
There is an OVERWHELMING amount of cool stuff being made in every medium right now. Algorithms just won't help you.
