Important: While the Utah bill is framed around porn taxes, the actual letter of the bill discusses “material harmful to minors.” So this could start as a porn tax, and if Utah defines LGBT content as “harmful to minors,” balloon into something so much bigger. The problem, as I see it, is this: Any time these bills use the phrase “harmful to minors,” they’re creating a madlib. Fill in the blanks later with what legislators believe is harmful to minors. So today it’s porn — but tomorrow, it might be “material on what it means to be transgender”

a recent ADHD discovery I’ve made, YMMV: for those of us with internal hyperactivity, productivity/time management advice can be very bad because it encourages thinking a lot about the best way to use your time, and THE THINKING IS THE THING STOPPING US FROM DOING ANYTHING EXCEPT THINKING
