Looks like another person got himself in immigration trouble, which makes me think it might be timely to give some guidance on ways to mitigate this particular risk. The story is cut off but you see at the bottom of the screenshot where it says he had arranged something with his employer 1/
Even Australia and South Africa, two of the most bro-coded territories on earth, their players are immediately respectful to the refs. It’s a culture of the sport thing, and she’s correct to note it. I may have to go find some good Nigel Owens compilation videos on YouTube.

This weekend my wife and I were watching the RSA-Ireland test match and she was remarking on how these giant humans are so immediately deferential and respectful to the referees, and what that says about notions of masculinity around the world. Shown: RG Snyman, who is a beast.

As the person who got the Bungie judgment she references, I would support your note here and add that my judgment establishes that employers have a legal obligation to help you when that happens. I structured the case deliberately to create such an obligation. It’s sitting there waiting to be used.

This guy.

It does, doesn’t it?

That’s why I said “for every action she has directed” and not just “for every case”. Also the consequences of her invalidity will be different for each defendant.

I do an amount of legal work for free for which I could charge, but federal criminal practice is a very lucrative specialty, and right now not everyone in that space is willing to pick a fight with the Administration. You risk ending up with the Perkins Coie treatment.

If her appointment was invalid, every action she has directed was invalid also. As in: she’s not just invalid for James Comey, she’s invalid for every criminal defendant in ED VA.

Dril “don’t gotta hand it to them” tweet, but: good on James Comey for paying the money to get his judgment on this specific issue so that hundreds of other people can also avoid prosecution by a cosplay US Attorney.

Being a person who has always used Bing, I notice no change.

Superman is a justice fantasy, not a power one. If you could do anything in the world, wouldn’t you want to help people? That’s how normal people act. I know you know this.

Gunn doesn’t feel the need to be “edgy” to show he’s cool. Yes he’s Gen X but he’s not afraid to show genuine feeling.

The sense of pure relief I had for the DC universe when they repeated that line. These movies aren’t going to let me down. I nearly cried in the theater.
November 25, 2025 at 7:24 AM
James Gunn knows why he’s making these movies. The challenge with DC is that their heroes are literal gods, so they don’t level up and therefore aren’t super interesting characters. The storytelling solution is to have them experience emotional growth. Gunn knows that.

There were a few points in that movie when I said to myself “okay, DC is in good hands now”. This was one of them. Another: the last scene when he’s watching the video of his parents and they use the exact same line as at the beginning when he’s watching video of his parents.

This is the greatest line in the movie.

I read “at war with multiple farmers markets” and LOL’d.

To say nothing of: your Arabic good enough to know that? Didn’t think so.

Crypto being used for international crime. What are the odds.
Billionaire Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, pardoned by Donald Trump, has been accused of facilitating millions of dollars’ worth of payments to Hamas in the wake of its attack on Israel on October 7 2023. Zhao also financed the Trump family's entrance into the cryptocurrency market.

It seems to be particularly endemic to hockey, if all the problems Hockey Canada has had are any indication.

When I was still at NCMEC I tried to help my Board colleagues understand these laws are designed to create the next Larry Nassar. Nope. Nobody cared.

Yes.

I think there’s an even easier one. Elon got all the government data through DOGE, so this is a government contract for him.
