3/4 And most of all: the facilitators delivered this session for us FOR FREE at a time that suited our class schedule. If you are running a family law course in Australia, I really recommend reaching out to the team and setting up a session (link and further details below).

2/4 Using specialist digital content as prompts, we spent time talking about the ways that we are always responding (or not) to family violence in all of our interactions in everyday life.

This was a unique opportunity for students which will serve them well in their future careers.

1/4 Last week, the team at the Responders Lab came to deliver a guest session to my undergraduate family law students.

In the session, the facilitators provided a supportive, encouraging and open space for students to reflect on their own understandings and awareness of family violence.

Just finished teaching the first class of an intensive family law unit run via interactive workshops (no lectures) - my first time with NO recording. Initial observation: LOTS more energy and engagement in the room. I’m curious, what are people’s thoughts on no recordings in elective units? #legaled

Academia runs on contacting other academics out of the blue and saying HEY do you wanna do this COOL THING for essentially NO REWARD and equally certainly NO RECOGNITION from your employer and those people going OH MAN that sounds AWESOME sign me up for the COOL NO REWARD NO RECOGNITION EXPERIENCE.

Huge news just now in Australia: indefinite detention has been ruled unconstitutional and unlawful by the High Court, overruling the long-standing decision in the Al-Kateb case

So nice to see you here, Gráinne! Was hoping to come to your Nuffield event but time zones make it impossible - let me know if there’s a recording or any other opportunities to link up!
