This is patently false. I’m a senior advisor on Eddie’s campaign and a proud DSA member. I would never work to elect someone who doesn’t share my values that we need better and more thoughtful projects that serve every resident of Ferndale - from the east side of Hilton to the Dales.

My reaction to painting the whole organization, that thousands of black and brown comrades have worked hard to build into the type of org that can propel Zohran to victory, as awful. I fully agree there’s a huge problem with toxic racists in Dsa, per my 2nd tweet. not close to the majority.

There are awful people that claim to be part of DSA just as there are awful people who claim any affiliation. The barrier to entry for DSA is filling out an online form. Socialism beats fascism & DSA is the largest org doing the work.

The organization that molded the candidacy & platform for the very candidate you’re supporting is “awful”? The political organization that numbers over 10k members across the city & is the infrastructure for his campaign is “awful”? If mamdani & his campaign are the path forward, so is DSA.

And it also feels like some folks have decided to hate Mamdani because of his association with DSA and are looking for any little bit of info to confirm that bias. And I agree that the DSA is an awful, problematic organization. But there are much larger issues at stake in this election.
