I've been hesitant to talk about this until @badhandbooks.bsky.social let the cat out of the bag, but here we are. The Final Edition will contain not only the 20k-word previously published novella Blood & Brimstone but also an additional 20k I'm writing right now.

This is my first novella collection in a decade. I hope you pick it up and enjoy it. Thanks!
ALL THE STARS DIE by @jfdt.bsky.social is moving up the horror collections chart on the Zon--and with good reason. It's (forgive the pun) stellar.

"Indiana Jones meets The Descent. Very nice, in its simplicity. It goes smoothly but it has a welcome plot twist that is very horror" - Amazon review

I think the stories in this book (personally, some of the best I've written,) prove that I'll always be King of Pain... I'll always be King of Pain.

Sing that last part.
"Taff’s secret weapon is voice. He writes talkers who feel like your uncle at a too-long wake, funny until they’re not."

Happy birthday, man!
So this is 46🎉🎂

Like all indie authors, if you want to help me celebrate, pick up one of my books, review one, tell a friend about one, "accidentally" add a thousand copies of one to your company's stationery order. It all helps! 🔥🔥🔥

Always good to know what the pieces were that really connected. Thanks again, Phil.
Fin de Siecle and All The Stars were big standouts to me—took me to a lovely, horrifying place.

Well, gosh, thanks, Phil! So glad you liked it! Look, I can still blush. 😊😊😊
Just got done with ALL THE STARS DIE by John F.D. Taff and I highly recommend it. Cosmic horror novellas by a truly skilled author. A page turner, to boot. Damn. @badhandbooks.bsky.social

I agree. Anyway, all the Frankenstein movies strayed pretty far from the book. This one at least made sense.
We enjoyed it as well .. some are complaining it strayed too far .. but if you want the same old same old .. go watch all the existing same old same old movies.

This was a fresh and refreshing take ..

I just watched GDT's Frankenstein. It's definitely the movie to watch if you didn't think the book was Gothic enough. But I enjoyed it. Very langerous and beautiful.

The forth story in my latest novella collection ALL THE STARS DIE is "In the Dim Meadows, Desolate," a tale of fallen gods still desperately needing the love of man... but is it enough?

The book is available everywhere in print. For now, ebooks are available at badhandbooks.com/ebooks.

I have my copies of THE END IN ALL BEGINNINGS and ALL THE STARS DIE.

Do you?

Available now everywhere books are sold.

P.S. Lurking in the background, working on some things for my apocalyptic epic THE FEARING, both in print with @badhandbooks.bsky.social next year and something more...visual.

I think you'll like it, Michael.
I'm definitely in the market for a collection of stories featuring "melancholy, memory, and moral hangovers." Hopefully my copy ships soon!

And the reviews begin...
Goodreads review of ALL THE STARS DIE by @jfdt.bsky.social: 'Taff blends cosmic dread with human messiness ... the collection’s best pieces hum with craft, warmth, and a mean little afterbite for readers who like their nightmares conversational and sad-funny.'
