It’s maybe not the best pie but it was very good pie. Creamy lemon meringue pie and the lemon wasn’t overbearing. In a garden behind an Amsterdam museum/gallery. A cat jumped up on the table to say hi. Perfection. 10/10 no notes
We need some sweetness, so please regale me with a description of the best pie you've ever had 🥺

Here's a picture of a lemon pie I once made with salted meringue. It was not the best pie I ever had but it was delicious

I’m using ScreenZen now so I’ll be spending a lot less time on social media. In fact, I’m about to become fully enlightened, healthy, contented, and at least 15% hotter. Please look forward to my miraculous transformation and respect my privacy at this pivotal time in my awesome life, thank you.

A new book I’m about to buy is the exact same price at my local beloved indie bookstore as it is on Amazon.

Down to the PENNY.

I just needed to share that with you all, no particular reason. Carry on.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I like that the categories under BBC iPlayer’s #History section are:

• Civilisations
• Groundbreaking Discoveries
• World Wars
• How We Built Britain
• The Battle for Power

And last but not least

• Lucy Worsley

After getting annoyed with crypto and AI ads on Brave (the browser I use on my phone), I decided to try Firefox.
On Firefox for iOS, there are two permanent sponsored link icons stuck in your favorites: Amazon and Temu. You can’t get rid of them.

Hot tip: Just because you technically CAN use the word “holocaust” in other contexts doesn’t mean you should.

In the past 2 weeks, I have inadvertently watched 3 things (2 shows, 1 movie) featuring Charles Dance.

What will the costume drama world do when he decides to retire? 🎥

Reading #JaneEyre for the first time. At one point, she describes very cold weather as “Canadian” and I LOL’d. I’m going to adopt this.

oh shit, AppleTV *does* have a marketing department after all. But this is… weird? I can’t decide if this is clever or stupid.
Bonus: it links to the AppleTV app and not a page about #Pluribus. WHAT. EVEN.
