Jim Cohen is an American human rights activist, attorney, environmentalist, and former candidate for the United States Senate seat from Minnesota then held by Republican Norm Coleman. Cohen sought the endorsement of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, but withdrew his candidacy after trailing far behind Al Franken, who subsequently was elected U.S. Senator. Following his withdrawal, in 2008-09 Jim created Access Justice a nonprofit(501 ),(501 ), public interest law firm dedicated to providing "low-bono" legal services to low and moderate income working families. .. more

Not worth the trouble for the left to get divided over your vote. Yes, it's revolting to support anything that MTG supports, but it's also true that financing Israel's defense is a way of supporting its offense at a time when they need first of all to be halted.

For what it's worth, knowing that the ambassador does not believe that the occupied territories are occupied, because a book written over 2000 years ago does not recognize that fact.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.

There could be no clearer a statement of the problem at hand. This war needs to be stopped and Netanyahu must no longer be enabled. Only the U.S. can impose diplomacy over war. To avoid catastrophe, that's what needs to happen.

What should replace ICE? A humane immigration agency that takes the lives of people into account and not just enforcement according to a punitive reading of the law; that is not violent, not secretive, and does not crow about the cruelty it practices or act as if it were above the law.
