THIS IS CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!

DEMOLISHING THE WHITE HOUSE IS A PROUD PART OF CANADIAN HISTORY!
In “H is for Hawk”:
“many of our classic books on animals were by gay writers who wrote of their relationships with animals in lieu of human loves of which they could not speak.”

Huh, I thought, what about Konrad Lorenz (famed ethologist)? Turns out, KL was not gay, but, notably, was a Nazi…
I just have a hard time following the logic of it — how does a lower turnout advantage them?

My only guess is that the conspiracy of “better elections” through handcounting ballots (etc) serves an ideological goal, regardless of consequences.

Or maybe just making people upset serves their purpose
I heard those Gorgon sisters were hot
“Edmonton Elections said unofficial voter turnout was 205,758, or 30.3% of 679,830 eligible voters.”

What I heard over and over was stories about extremely long lines due to new election processes, and people simply walking out.

A lot of people showed up to vote and then didn’t bc of the UCP.
“Sydney Briar is alive”

I always wanted to see Pontypool, and it did not disappoint!

i know someone stole a bunch of gems of major historical and cultural significance from the louvre, and i have to ask:

has anyone checked the british museum yet?
imo a pretty obvious ploy to say "this isn't working, let's give it to private healthcare"

i was at the zoo & the tour guide said something like “horses are the only domesticated animals that can poop without breaking stride” & i was like “that can’t be true, i bet i could do it” but i was never gonna test that—until now, in your hallway, if i visit your home & you have one of these.

That’s right — vaccine ordering for NEXT YEAR.

Be sure to expect there to be a shortage of vaccines next fall.

I’m not sure I’ve ever lived somewhere where the government was actively trying to kill its citizens (and I lived in Ontario under Harris and in New Brunswick under Lord)
if you're in Alberta and you want your flu and covid shot in 2026 - yes you read that correctly - you have to preorder them right now. So here's the link. go do that. Just in case none of those people get removed from power by then.

please repost this, as the province seems bent on killing us.

I mean, I’m sure my hippie nonsense will be ignored, but it felt good to yell into this particular void
Probably you’ve seen this already, but there’s a survey about Canada’s investment in AI research.

I filled in a lot of responses about funding universities and not private industry (and tried very hard not to say “who gives a shit” to everything else).

Hard to read this as anything but anti-union propaganda.

When the most important questions of our time are out of scope for the wealthiest people of our time, you know the framework is broken.
What the actual fuck is this shit?

So, next year, it’ll be a scramble as everyone tries to get the tiny number of vaccines that they ordered?
🚨 This is inexplicable news to share. If in Alberta and you want flu and covid shots for NEXT year (2026-2027), you have only until December 15 of THIS year to order them.

This is not incompetence. It’s a deliberate choice to prevent as many people ..
