Covid numbers are rising and we trying to get the word out. Here are the first two billboards so far this summer and I’ll be working to keep putting them out well into the fall.
If you want to help me continue the campaign any help is appreciated.

Radical rest IS a form of resistance.

Taking care of yourself is a powerful act.

It takes courage and strength to do nothing when everyone else is doing something.

If you need rest, give yourself permission to let go of the guilt. Protect your baseline so you can fight another day.

Healthcare, social security, medical research, disability supports & public health are all under attack.

Want to fight back? Wear a mask.

It only takes one infection to end up severely disabled. A mask protects you and those around you.

It’s easier to resist when you have your health.

“Non disabled people have no idea the amount of planning and preparation we go through just to safely get through the day. We have contingencies upon contingencies. We back up our back ups.”
“The best way you can include the disability community in resistance efforts is to ensure they’re accessible. Often we want to participate only to find out that masks aren’t required, an event is being held in a space that isn’t accessible and/or online options aren’t being provided”

After digging into what's actually being done to prepare for H5N1 bird flu, it occurred to me that the very rich actually might want a bird flu pandemic to happen. It fits with the theme of weaponized incompetence we've been seeing.

“You’re so strong! I could never handle your illness”

People say this all the time to people with chronic illness. I assume it’s meant as a compliment - but shows a stunning lack of awareness

We don’t get a choice. We’re strong because we HAVE to be. You can’t trade your body in when it gets sick.

People understand illnesses like cancer - you get sick & get better or you die. They can support & empathize with that.

When it comes to chronic illness … that support & empathy dries up. The idea that someone could be sick FOREVER & not die is too much for people /2
