Never forget that the rise of the frog resistance was foretold by a great prophet, many years ago, in a more innocent time.

There are hundreds of years of history of women’s scientific accomplishments not being recognised or being minimised (“not notable”). It *still* happens. Many female scientists are only acknowledged on Wikipedia thanks to the efforts of, yes, other female scientists, notably physicist Dr Jess Wade.

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

The image is of the sorceror, Gwydion, surrounded by wild animals (wolf, boar, deer) in a Celtic knotwork frame. Gwydion's hat is crowned with antlers. He carries an axe in his right hand and an oak twig in his left.

The Orphan Crusher is here to stay. If we don’t feed more Orphans to the Crusher the Orphan Crushing industry will die. It’s time to wake up to the reality of the Orphan Crusher. The Orphan Crusher is worth billions. We need to teach people to use the Orphan Crusher. It’s here to stay.

"Quit horsing around"
"Oh, do you mean planning ahead and thinking strategically? Never."
A screenshot of an article. The headline reads "Horses can plan ahead and think strategically, scientists find". Underneath is a picture of a elegant brown horse with a black mane, captioned "Equine scientists believe they have demonstrated a much higher degree of intelligence in horses than previously assumed."

When you see the world as a story, you forget to be a person.
The Sea-Stone Sword explores the power of stories. Both for good, and for evil. And what happens to a person who makes their own life into a story?

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I'll go even further than just needing to ask permission

any AI model which uses other people's data or work should ask for permission AND offer compensation. Any AI model which doesn't do this should be immediately deleted - not reworked to take stuff out - wholesale deleted and you start again.

The Opposition and the party that’s leading in the polls literally have policies more extreme than the BNP 20 years ago

David is slightly unfair. There is a clear difference here.

Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

This below is from the 2005 BNP manifesto.

Spot the difference with current Tory and Reform policy.

Our update for today delves into the early history of the Welsh church. Did you know that one of Wales's most famous early saints was the son of a fairy prince?
