Debt/GDP out of control. Interest Expense/Tax Receipts out of control. It's not about the fed or their levers. It's about 40 years of reckless spending by congress... bond markets wanting to be paid if you spend recklessly like this...

How would one “reckon” with that?
Not gonna lie, living here in WA that has so many deep ties with Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks and Boeing makes me think that we as a state need to collectively reckon with our labor propping up such pillars of unchecked power and greed.

i don’t know what this means broadly, but i do think it’s incredibly interesting and notable that 2026 was the first year ever that bitcoin started a year with less value than it started the previous year, and it’s lost a significant amount too

Bonds are not investable right now and won't be until yields rise drastically (which they likely won't be allowed to rise to investable levels)... if you understand that we're in fiscal dominance right now you would get the risk...
