Veo 2 prompt: "a distant shot zooms in to reveal a knight wearing a golden helmet, he begins to charge on his zebra, lowering his lance, charging towards a clockwork octopus" (this is one of the initial 4 videos it made)

You’re thinking of the Bluesky client. It’s just their version of a client for the open protocol they created. One of many clients. The protocol itself is decentralized by design and available to everyone

Not everyone, but it’s surely most. Those posts are gaining traction because people think it’s humorous. At least that’s the best I can tell from the replies and quote reposts

In probably 2009, my friend and I were at the park on a low volume day and were allowed to stay on the ride as many times as we’d like. We rode it 21 times in a row. We only got off because someone took his souvenir cup.

As for history, I haven’t yet finished it but Powers and Thrones by Dan Jones does a good job of covering the Middle Ages from ~410AD-1527, Rome to Protestant reformation. It’s quite dense covering 1000yr in 500 pages, but it’s a good springboard for finding interests in western history.
