Some of my chicken satay skewers are missing the stick. Personally I blame Rachel Reeves. Do you have anything you can blame her for today? It's all the rage! 🤣

What's your most hated Christmas song and why have you chosen 'All I Want for Christmas' by Mariah Carey?

With the final F1 GP of 2025 coming up next weekend, remember that people in the Middle East don't usually watch 'The Flintstones', but the people of Abu Dhabi do.

Die Hard IS a Christmas Movie
Yes, Die Hard was released in July 1988 as a summer blockbuster, but everything about it shouts CHRISTMAS. It’s both a Christmas movie AND a movie set at Christmas. It’s been criticised…

A much needed history lesson for Kemi Badenoch: Roman Welfare Benefits – John Ager's Home on the Web! johnager.co.uk/2025/11/28/r...
Roman Welfare Benefits
It’s easy to imagine the ancient world as hard, unforgiving, and uninterested in the wellbeing of ordinary people, yet the Romans quietly remind us that societies have always wrestled with how to c…

Unfortunately, political discourse in the UK often leans more on opinion than on fact, as if the two carry equal weight. It leaves us talking past one another rather than grounding our debates in what’s actually true.

I'm not an apologist for Rachel Reeves, and there's much in the Budget to criticise. My simple plea is that it's discussed with all the facts available rather than with lies and misinformation. Truth matters.

The newspapers who told you to vote for Brexit won't admit their mistake, they'll tell you to blame easy targets for the economic mess. Wake up England!

As people retreat into echo chambers that confirm their biases, public debate becomes polarised, and the shared foundation of truth on which democratic societies depend begins to crumble. Truth Under Siege Today – John Ager's Home on the Web! johnager.co.uk/2025/11/13/t...

The number of newspapers and politicians blaming and demonizing easy targets for the state of the UK economy rather than those actually responsible is sickening - and people swallow it. 🤮

The negative reaction from our right wing media + newspapers to a budget that was carefully planned + implemented to help Britain recover from 14 years of austerity and Tory mess while asking for money in a fair way from people in this country is laughable. So obviously biased against a Labour Govt.

Don't complain about the state of the UK economy if you voted for Brexit. Own the mistake, and push to repair the damage by seeking closer ties with Europe and eventual rejoining. Farage, Johnson, and others lied to you.

Brexit is costing the UK economy at least £50 billion a year (over £100 billion on the highest estimates). Blame leaving the EU for the state of the UK economy. If you voted for it, own it. 😁
