Rob Reiner was the director that first got me to start thinking about how important directors are. Princess Bride and Stand by me are two very different yet formative movies I know all the words to. And my whole family quotes spinal tap to each other.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.

Why the pathological obsession with Venezuela? The country has had an active Cold War with the United States for over 20 years. My friend and family were unalived by the Chavez regime after being put on house arrest. This is an evil government who has done tremendous damage to its citizens. Why?
