They had little to no penetrance in the US, unlike my faves EatB. Looks like their US label situation was weird at best. And the “Chameleons UK” thing probably didn’t help.

I didn’t know the McLaren origin story until the mid-80s. No wonder I liked BWW so much! I do love Annabella’s voice (& at the time—her looks) I didn’t know how young she was! She’s a year younger than me; I was 18 when I discovered them. It was the drums of David Barbarossa that made the band tho.

Sounds like warmed over FMac to me. “Record Mirror panned the "miserable" album in a 1/5 star review…it "sounds like the out takes of Mac's worst studio sessions delivered around [Buckingham's] reedy little voice."
