It’s not just rampant anti-intellectualism in politics it’s also that the only state functions both sides uniformly get behind are surveillance and imprisonment the other parts of state capacity are viewed as burdens to be resolved not actual requirements of running a country

I wonder why and how any Afghan chap got radicalised. I just can't fathom it. It's so strange. It's not as if they gave their lives for the Coalition of US and European forces & were stabbed in the back or something.

Is it any surprise that the Welsh leader of Reform (former UKIP MEP) having taken money from the Russians, that now they are investigating the Scottish UKIP leader (from that period) for the same offence.
