I think it's a smart strategy because it reduces expectations and also provides product for markets where it's increasingly difficult to drive an ICE car in cities or for customers who love the Ferrari brand but want something more comfortable and practical than the usual low two-seater.

The most interesting aspect of the Ferrari EV is that it isn't going to be a sports car. It's going to be something practical(ish), a four-door that you can commute or tour in, although obviously still fast as hell. I think that's a smart strategy. www.roadandtrack.com/news/a688960...

My family briefly had a big Mercury sedan when I was a little kid, something from the early 70s I think, and I was amazed that every door’s armrest had a cigarette lighter. Power windows also amazed me.

2014 and 2015 get you a Rapide S but with the original interior that is cheaper than later years. 2014 is cheaper than a 15 because you get a 6-sp rather than an 8-sp transmission.
