Yikes. RFK Jr. says a study links circumcision to an increased rate of autism, focusing on use of Tylenol. Yes, there's a Danish study that shows circumcised boys are 46% more likely to be autistic than intact boys, but link is based on correlation not causation and there's no mention of Tylenol.

Political violence is unAmerican. Whether one ignites a governor's residence or kidnaps a governor, or attempts to assassinate a president candidate, or kills a judge, lawmaker, or political advocate like Charlie Kirk, that conduct must be denounced by all. Can we also stop dehumanizing each other?

Don't miss this excellent KDKA-TV CBS documentary on the assassination attempt of Donald Trump one year ago. It features a number of us, including yours truly, who covered the events of that day and its aftermath. Share your thoughts a year later!

Does what President Trump has done in Los Angeles and the assault on Senator Padilla make you more likely or less likely to attend one of the local NO KINGS events -- or had you no intention of going in the first place?

Details, please. Contrary to original Nippon acquisition deal, did President Donald Trump negotiate a true partnership where Nippon Steel does not take over USSteel, but rather Americans run the company without Japanese veto? Perhaps we'll find out soon.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we fly our flags to remember the service men and women who gave their lives to protect this country. Over 1.1 million Americans have lost their lives in wars since the Revolution. We honor them!

Apparently a number of southern states still recognize Confederate Memorial Day, noting the 258,000 Confederate soldiers who died defending secession and slavery. Monday was that day in some states. The Memorial Day we celebrate in May honors U.S. military dead. It began right after the Civil War.

Whether Catholic or not, if you were a Cardinal who could vote in the conclave to elect a successor to Pope Francis, what kind of Pope would you like to see?

Wait. According to Pete Hegseth, our naval cadets are allowed to read Adolf Hitler but not Maya Angelou? Is Hegseth really that unAmerican that he favors Nazi writers over Americans? I wonder how the White House press secretary will spin this one.
Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.
An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

Where do our local PA Members of Congress stand on banning stock purchases for themselves while in office? Please speak up and report, Mike, Guy, Chris & Summer!
Simple question: How many Members of Congress purchased stocks in the past 48 hours?
It is long past time to ban stock-trading in Congress.
Period!

After Trump tariffs crater our IRAs, 401Ks, pensions, and retirement accounts for the 62% of Americans invested in the Stock Market, President Trump heads to Mar-a-Lago to play golf and host SuperPAC donors. Does this make political sense?

Notice to Cong. Mike Kelly, Guy Reschenthaler, @deluzio.house.gov, @repsummerlee.bsky.social: Don't let Trump/Musk mess with Social Security services!
I recently retired, and needed help in registering for Medicare because I couldn't master the online features. Fortunately, we have a local social security office. I stopped in there, and after a 40-minute wait, I saw a professional who did an excellent job of signing me up! Don't mess with this!
We've heard concerning things about the Social Security Administration lately, so I decided to check for myself.
SSA says Wednesday is the best day to call, so I called then.
Their system told me there would be a two-hour wait time, told me to call back, and then just hung up.

As a lawyer & retired academic (25 years teaching grad students at Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College). I am deeply concerned about "kidnapping" foreign students for their views. If they did something illegal, arrest & charge them! Don't hide from judicial process. It recalls words of Pastor Niemoller.

Musk is becoming toxic to GOP candidates if he means cuts to veterans programs, social security, healthcare (Medicaid), and public education. Trump may be unlikely to stop this, but will local Republicans finally speak out? Stay tuned.
The Democrat who just flipped a very Trumpy seat in Pennsylvania’s Senate made opposition to Elon Musk front and center in his campaign.

Deeply disturbing. If lawyers, especially from highest quality firms, don't stand up for the rule of law and resist blackmail, where are we as a nation?

Do you agree with Mehdi about Netanyahu's war on Palestinians? Shouldn't Christians condemn the killing of innocents on all sides, or do we accept "collateral" damage rationale? Thoughts?
If you were outraged by the crimes against civilians on Oct 7th but not by the many more crimes against civilians *since* Oct 7th - just this week: kids being burned from head to toe; having their limbs amputated without anesthetic - then you don’t actually care about crimes against civilians.

What? And if a judge doesn't say, "Simon says," it doesn't count? As a lawyer, I would never risk ignoring an order from the bench until it was put in writing. What nonsense!

Fascinating news story out of New Hampshire! Should taxpayers pay for circumcision? Trump has stopped USAID tax funding for that in Africa, and the New Hampshire House just voted to stop Medicaid funding for it, joining 18 other states like FL, CA, AZ, NC, etc. which won't pay for this cosmetic . .
