I always renew bc there’s no guarantee you’ll find something as good. Think of it as a small price for a lotto ticket. I think that’s a great domain

Agree with most of it. Particularly like the old Piedmont / new Piedmont breakdown. While old Piedmont is mostly rural, Richmond fits the bill too as it’s definitely culturally different than newcomers like Charlotte and Raleigh

Cancelled a few months ago and this just makes me feel better about that decision

Her refusal to answer isn’t necessarily confirmation he kept it. She might have wanted to avoid saying No because that invites additional questions like why was it returned it if he wasn’t doing anything wrong? Bad look no matter her answer.

Sure but don’t these guys try to back up their arguments using numbers? No one says MJ was the GOAT bc he had the prettiest shooting motion. They point to shooting percentage and championships and MVP awards.

3/ Though I should acknowledge that a point in Charlottesville’s favor is that their population numbers don’t include UVA to my knowledge. If UVA’s -3 sq miles were added to C-Ville that would further increase their density I believe.

2/ Obviously there’s still room for improvement but it’s not as bad as it appears on paper bc of that undeveloped land. LA has worse looking density numbers than reality too bc of large incorporated desert area.

Chapel Hill is hard to compare to C-ville density. C-ville is only 10 sq miles and incorporates no undeveloped land. Chapel Hill-Carrboro is 86,000 / 28 sq miles but includes ~5 sq miles of undeveloped forest tracts. If that forest isn’t annexed, density is more comparable to Cville at 3740 ppsm

As bad as UNC looked Saturday against Clemson, the result could be even worse in the long term. A frightening prospect, to be sure.

Chapelboro’s Michael Koh looks ahead at the potential impacts of UNC’s poor performance against the Tigers.

The messaging from UNC's general manager and its coaches and players isn't lining up. Something is rotten in Chapel Hill.

When do the Fire Belichick billboards and banner planes start showing up in Chapel Hill?
jonkimball.bsky.social
Chapel Hill is anti-growth for sure but it’s also unique to a lot of these cities in that most of those are growing through annexation and Chapel Hill is boxed in on all sides and has few annexation options left, not that I think that’s a good solution either

Kannapolis is at 60,500 will pass Chapel Hill in next few years too.

Makes sense. I’ve got lots of issues with Bluesky but it’s mostly that it sucks at product development in a timely manner. This seems like a minor issue compared to its others

I tried to follow this controversy but I can’t wrap my head around it yet and I’m pretty online

That this is not only considered implausible, but that nobody in the top echelons of Congress (in either party!) will even consider being gauche enough to say the i-word, is the surest sign that the entire federal legislative branch has declared bankruptcy as a going concern.

Look. Invading our own country is about as straightforward a case as you can have for impeachment. The GOP abandoning the Constitution is kind of the only story there is and it gets no coverage.

Guys. I just had a crazy idea. What if the President DIDN’T deploy troops in American cities. Just a thought. Have we tried that before?

I’ve decided the guys not wearing masks, while brave, are the true psychos. They are out and proud. They want to be known for their dark deeds.
