In the West, the persistent ridge that has been causing a prolonged dry period will finally shift, with some storms/precipitation returning to both coast & interior. These systems will start out warm, but airmass should eventually cool to near (or even below!) average. Mtn snow!

The longer the spurs, the older the vines. In these three photos of ancient vine Zinfandel, laid bare by winter chill, long arms reflect over 100 years of pruning at the tips, the twisting spurs slowly yet surely growing in length, inch by inch.
