I have long posited that Daniel Craig's accent in Glass Onion is better than Knives Out because in Knives Out he is trying to do a real Southern accent and is bad at it but in Glass Onion he is just talking like Foghorn Leghorn, which is something a real gay Southern weirdo would do.

Seems like GenXers (at least of my vintage) should probably empathize. Coming out of college in ’88 the economy was a mess (made my decision to pursue music easier). The whole “McJobs” thing was coined in Copeland’s book, no?

Totally agree. We should empathize with younger generations. The challenges younger generations face are way different and more complex than the were for us at their age.

I understand why people are focusing on the, uh, considerable baggage of both people, but also, “let’s have Alan Dershowitz and Dana Loesch debate gun control” isn’t a bold or daring new idea, it’s what a Piers Morgan producer who fell into a glacier in 2013 would say upon being revived.

important to realize just how seriously feelings of powerlessness in the face of vast structures & a learned understanding of the futility of individual effort are generational givens that anybody my age or older (work hard! succeed! things work out!) has no way to fully grasp—but we need to try

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.
