literally i was done with the gusset for the second one earlier and i was like. no i need these tonight. and just crashed through the rest of it in a couple hours (it helps ive not been able to sit anywhere but on my heating pad all day so i was Motivated)

sock test: success. i will be honest with you. these are unbelievably comfy cozy warm. the only way they could be better is if i'd made the toes slightly longer bc i have really long toes but i will remember that for next time.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I'm seeing friends go back in the closet and my heart hurts for them. They shouldn't need to do this. This is so awful. Queer and trans people are always made to choose between safety and freedom. We deserve both, but many of us get neither. I ache for my people.
