I know people are not ready to accept this message, but he’s just running a slightly better version of the scam Newsom was. For the same reason: personal aggrandizement.

JB wants you to believe he’ll stop trmp when he won’t even stop the Illinois state police from attacking residents

Know what? Seconded.

You **will** laugh at some utter nonsense, but there are some moments that matter and have some sticking power.

Begging people to write their own alt for gifs.

The auto-populated alts are TRASH.

My big conspiracy is that due to our overall systemic decline in both cultural literacy and actual literacy we have spawned a generation of people who don’t even know how to get horny anymore

I love that the democrats are approaching the end of the poem ("then they came for me, and there was no-one left to speak for me") and they're still like "...whatever"

Oh. Oh my. This new knowledge will only be used for evil.

Literally have a tiermaker list in my head at this point.

Kirk was so toxic you can't even quote him without becoming a target.
chetsucks.com
Someone went through all my linkedin comments and submitted reports on them... I will probably be kicked from the service soon as I have numerous violations.

This was taken down for quoting charlie kirk to a charlie kirk defender... okay.

I guess Tate was getting old and boring. They had to build MechaTate.

Racing games where crowd and bg elements were aliased faux-rt. Almost any 3D point-and-click from around 2000 with depth-mapped environments. Go hard on that mismatch.

Lotta stuff in dev with PS1/PS2 nostalgia look and feel. I have almost zero connection to those.

What would get me, though, is something that goes hard into that "just bought a GeForce 256 and I'm forcing AA on in games that weren't built for it" look.

It's the right mix of personal and political that I expect from a Brennan story. BUT, I'm also not hitting any of the out-of-stream materials to know more lore than they expose.

Sometimes that means it gets near that "very pretty noise" threshold where I might check out, but - so far - not over it.

Eugenics is about collectively demarcating who among us is “inferior” enough, in the “right” ways, to be actively or passively cut out of society. It relies on us not caring about disability justice & also encourages people to disable each other to the point they can be easily, wordlessly left behind
histoftech.bsky.social
Long Covid is more prevalent in children in the US now than asthma. We are fucking destroying the next generations w/our behavior. (And adults.)

If you do care about resisting eugenics maybe start by not being the vector that disables a kid in RFK’s US. That is not too much to ask. It really isn’t.

Donatello, The Brain
AD Stephanie Cheung
This was actually the last of the 3 pieces I painted for the TMNT set for which I was VERY happy to contribute to

Donny wasn't one of my favs until now - his single-minded dedication to toiling away in a cluttered space hit pretty close to home

Realizing that part of the reason universities’ uncritical pushing AI into everything bothers me is that it is partly related to how little our institutions care about the humanities. Tech that might work in (some) fields does not need to be force fed to all of us. But who listens to us?

Used to, scanning the term "GPU" in a post was a positive attention-grabber. Usually something about a new one, or some gamedev progress, maybe a cool shader thingy.

Now, every time I see it, my back tenses up.

All churches traffic xenomorph snot, right? That's a normal thing? #CriticalRoleSpoilers

They'll ruin dynamics that were working. Sever lines of communication and break attention/focus. Reassign effective leadership to features that amount to pet projects.

Then when a project fails and the inevitable happens, they'll even gaslight you on the way out the door like it was all your fault.
kaieta.bsky.social
A dirty truth about games: most of the time leadership is why a project fails or is cancelled, and even worse: those people go and start their own studios get investments because investors don't question the bro code, and the cycle continues.

Sometimes second chances aren't great
