My own experience, which is not inconsiderable, allows me to put out Captain Dan's Tear Gas Laundry guidelines.

Specifically, this is for your street clothing that has been exposed to tear gas in smoke/aerosol/dust/particulate form.

Look for the helpers
Yesterday, I drove refugees that had been shipped off to Texas all the way back home to St. Paul

Seeing them reunite with their families reminded me this is their home.

So keep sending them to Texas. I’ll keep driving ‘em back and introducing them to Bucc-ee’s and KC barbecue along the way.

The term "nerve agent" is not the same thing as "some chemical that has some effect on some aspect of the nervous system" nor is it a blanket term for chemical warfare agents or banned chemical weapons.

Shrodinger's bag: every bag is both empty and full until you accidentally kick it and then it has a cat in it.

the whole point of being an american is eating food from every country on earth with people from that country and partying with them. that's the thing we're best at and it's fun as hell and i can't believe these dickheads are trying to fuck things up for us

Is there a use for candied citrus peel aside from eating it straight? I've never gotten it in the cookie exchange before this year and I'm trying to like it plain but it's not working.

I can't even doomscroll. The doom is too doomy today.

I want to eat cookies so I should make cookies but I do not want to make cookies only eat cookies. But I only want to eat cookies I bake because I make them the way I like them. The struggle is real.

Ways earth science has been political:
-Studying climate of the American West brought the concept of Manifest Destiny into question and challenged notions of American expansionism in the 19th century.
-The discovery of Geological Time upended the Biblical timeline
Studying the earth is political. It always has been and it always will be. The difference is that there is now a political party made up of people whose worldviews are threatened by the very existence of a scientific process.
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

Not bad for a volunteer pumpkin plant with no love growing under volunteer tomato plants.

I like Bones. There aren't many stories that show professional pregnant women not just once but repeatedly. That feels rare and it shouldn't.

Every time I look at satellite pictures of the Aral sea I have this deep-seated existential dread. Watching one of the world's largest inland bodies of water disappear in my lifetime is profoundly unnerving.

I thought we all knew that James Bond is like the Dread Pirate Roberts. We treat each new one like there's been no change and we all agree it's still Bond, James Bond.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Do you see the yellow piece that is basically the size of a couple states combined? That is the decimated area from which thousands of people, mostly Alaska natives, have been completely and utterly displaced.

Oh Amtrak. I'd say never change but actually please yes change. Change with abundant funding and engines that don't die mid trip and delay not only that train but all the following trains. I still love you but it hurts a little more every time this happens.

Getting real tired of juices containing both sugar and sucralose without explicit labeling. Wondering why your family suddenly has the runs? Check the label on the juice. Sucralose is a great laxative.
