A strange game. The only winning move is not to [login].
Yes—good ones! I am setting up on one and will eventually (I don’t post often) put the details for alts with launch and vouch after testing.
If your name is Matt Parker and you emailed me — fyi I replied but your email is bouncing in reply

(lol this is such a throwback blogosphere way of handling a tech snafu like this. are you out there, Matt Parker?)

Normative ethics is indeed discussed in any lit class, the starter to philosophy

Education should teach one “how“ to think in a way that can be widely applied. OSHA training is rules/memorization. It’s “what” to think about a specific known

+ Flexible thinking protects from ideological extremes.
My dad is a master electrician who cannot fully read my books. I am a professional author.

We both ❤️ scifi but only one of us can successfully time travel. Classic lit is time travel. Gatsby is easy, assigned bc connects to history+current events (less dry). Plenty of teachers use mod lesson plans
it was a strange time in the industry. Things have gotten, you know, fascist nowadays, so relatively it doesn’t seem like that time is salient, but it was low-key kind of weird then. felt like this track www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaKD...
I will tell everyone and my mom about your book good luck x

am reading a book about this
(almost wrote “believe it or not I’m reading a book about this” but it is totally believable that I an author/reader would be reading a book about anything so)
was also at the Caprica launch party/premiere/panel at ArcLight (the redemption arc to my BSG misadventure story) — were you there (wouldn’t be surprised if you were)? If so do you recall that it was sponsored by a soon-failed tech product — ZUNE, and if so, do you still have your free bricked ZUNE?
But have you heard the story of winning NBC Universal’s Battlestar Galactica Everywhere Sweepstakes, the most mediocre sweepstakes winning ever? (I won it. And I used to have a popular LA blagh. A potent combo.) jessicastover.com/entry.php?id...

Scifi author: I work to keep congloms out of my publishing chain as much as possible, hire the same top editors that publishers do externally to work on my novels. The only pt I haven’t solved is distro platforms. It has cost me, but anyone who knows my biz story knows why I’m INDIE

This is part of my research job/beat. Freelance me to curate a list for readers.

I‘ve some suggestions that will not be expected, and some that prob will. There is what we know to the best of our ability so far, and the top questions still being studied.

Also? There is a playbook we’re not using.
if the US won’t let NASA build the starshade so I can see planets/watch the search for life, then can a league of other countries do it — the league of the starshade

the starshade federation, the united countries of starshade… starshade club

you don’t have to go to space to be an explorer trust me

this is cool

My move is still fresh but I actually do miss US stamps — Went out of my way for: Moon Landing (fave), Trek (although wished it were TNG), Le Guin, Coffee! (bought so many of those) and Women’s Suffrage designs

Canada needs to up its game
although… they do have a MuchMusic stamp now!
Behold a lovely stamp sheet by Chris Ware ...

... where each stamp shows a moment in the day of a postwoman

apparently it's the first time anyone has tried to tell a story with a stamp sheet

Can’t believe after all these years on this beat bts someone didn’t send this to me the hot minute it dropped — let’s read this & then I can probably stop trying to explain this to colleagues & my lovely #scifi readers myself. So glad about that & ty to the author for tackling this needed project 🌌
& give me a shout if you ever want to know what was going on with this on the film/scifi side with funding during the regressive backlash to the Obama era pre-2016/pre-gamergate. I haven’t read the book yet but I figure there’s no way it’s in there since it was insider-y & the players often failed.
I’m late to the party & just put this on my read-soon list: I sincerely hope you nail it inside so that I can stop explaining these issues myself and instead send everyone—everyone!—to your book! Also thank you for this introduction to your analysis 🌌 sciencefictionruminations.com/2025/01/06/e...
